Description
Keep Your Passwords Offline, Safe, and Always Within Reach
A simple, secure password manager that lives on your PC — not in the cloud.
Why an offline password manager matters
Most password managers push you to the cloud. Convenient? Sure. But it also means:
-
If their cloud is hacked, your vault is at risk.
With this app, there is no cloud. Your encrypted vault lives on your own computer. -
You’re never locked out by bad Wi-Fi or outages.
On a plane, in a cabin, during an internet blackout—your passwords still work. No signal required. -
Your master password is the only key.
It’s never stored, never synced, never sent anywhere. Only you know it—and without it, the vault stays locked.
If you like the idea of your passwords being yours and not part of some big online service, this app is for you.
What makes this app different
Serious security, without the complexity
-
Uses AES-256 encryption, the standard trusted by security experts.
-
A master key is derived per vault, so each vault is uniquely protected.
-
Everything sensitive is stored encrypted inside your
vault.datfile.
Actually pleasant to use
-
Clean, uncluttered window – no bloat, no confusing menus.
-
Instant search – start typing, and your entries appear right away.
-
Add, edit, delete in a click – no “setup wizard” or learning curve.
Fast copy, no lingering passwords
-
One-click “Copy Username” so you can log in faster.
-
One-click “Copy Password” that automatically clears from your clipboard after ~30 seconds, so it doesn’t sit there waiting to be pasted somewhere it shouldn’t.
Built-in password generator
-
Choose length and exactly what characters to include:
uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols. -
Create strong, unique passwords for every site in seconds.
Backups that you control
-
Your entire vault is a single encrypted file:
vault.dat. -
Copy it to a USB drive or external disk as a backup.
-
Restore anytime, with a confirmation step so you don’t overwrite anything by accident.
Portable between PCs
-
Moving PCs? Just copy your encrypted
vault.datfile. -
Drop it onto another computer with the app installed.
-
Unlock it with your master password and you’re back in business.
No hidden agenda
-
No subscriptions. Buy it once, it’s yours.
-
No telemetry. The app doesn’t phone home.
-
No network calls—ever. It doesn’t need or use the internet.
How it works (it’s simpler than you think)
-
Install and open the app.
On first launch, you’ll be asked to set your master password. This protects your vault, so choose something memorable and strong. -
Unlock your vault.
Next time you open the app, just enter your master password to decrypt your data. -
Add your accounts.
For each service, save:-
Service name (e.g. “Gmail”)
-
Username / email
-
Password
-
Notes (security questions, backup codes, etc.)
-
-
Find what you need, when you need it.
Use the built-in search bar to instantly jump to any entry. Click to copy username or password, then paste into your login form. -
Back up regularly.
Every so often, copy your encryptedvault.datto a USB drive or other safe place. If your PC ever fails, you can restore your vault and carry on.
Who this is perfect for
